A selection of outfits consigned by Victoria Beckham have sold in an online auction to benefit AIDS charity mothers2mothers.

The lots include a green Roberto Cavalli dress worn to a 2006 World Cup party, which sold for ?�3,198 ($5,307). A yellow Dolce & Gabanna gown worn to the 2003 MTV music awards also sold well, achieving ?�2,880 ($4,779).
Beckham came into contact with the charity after visiting South Africa with Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
She commented prior to the August 25 sale: "I came back from South Africa and thought, what can I do to help?
"I started going through my closet and found so many great pieces that I've worn and thought, maybe I can raise money by auctioning these off."
