A strand of George Washington's hair
Each strand measures approximately 0.5 inches, and is presented in a custom framed display measuring 7 by 7 inches.
Washington's hair comes with superb provenance from an excellent source.
It was once owned by Margaretta Pierrepont, wife of Edwards Pierrepoint (1817 - 1892), who served as President Ulysses S Grant's Attorney General.
She assembled a collection of hair from famous figures from history - a common pastime for wealthy collectors in the 19th century.
And today her sample of Washington's hair survives - although the small quantity ensures the supply is highly limited.
George Washington is one of the most important figures in American history.
And this authentic strand of his hair, preserved for over 200 years, is a personal relic which gives you a direct connection to the man himself.
An unusual and delightful gift for anyone who loves history.

A large lock of John Adams' hair
It was clipped from Adams' head following his death in July 1826, and gifted to Union Civil War soldier George F. Noyes by Elizabeth Adams, the President's granddaughter, who was present by his bedside when he died.
It was later discovered in a sealed envelope by Noyes' family after he passed away in 1868, and has been remarkably preserved for almost 200 years.
The large lock measures approximately 3.5″ in length, and is affixed to a sheet of paper with a single spot of red wax.
The sheet itself measures 4” by 3.75”, and bears the handwritten note: “Presented me by Elizabeth Adams, Quincy, President Adams hair, Quincy.”
It comes with the original handwritten envelope in which Noyes kept it, and a historic letter of provenance from the Noyes family.
This is the only-known full lock of John Adams' hair ever offered for sale.
And as such, it's a unique, extraordinary relic from a Founding Father and America's second President.

Original wallpaper from the home of Abraham Lincoln
They originate from Lincoln's family home in Springfield, Illinois, the only house the President ever owned.
He purchased the house in 1844, and lived there until moving to the White House as President in 1861. Three of Lincoln's children were born there.
And on November 7, 1860, after learning he had won the Presidency, he returned home and slept surrounded by this very wallpaper.
The fragments were preserved by Lincoln's grand-niece Mary Edwards, and were later sold to a major private collector of Lincoln memorabilia.
Today the house at 413 South Eighth Street is a National Historic Site, and has been fully restored to its original condition.
The wallpaper in Lincoln's bedroom is identical – but it's a recreation.
These few pieces are completely original, and represent a small but remarkable piece of history from the home of America's greatest President.

A tie owned and worn by John F. Kennedy
It was personally owned by Kennedy in the late 1950s, whilst he served as the Senator for Massachusetts.
He wore it during campaign stops and speeches as he prepared to run for President in 1960.
During this time Kennedy gave the tie to Bob Morey, one of the most trusted members of his political team.
Morey worked side by side with Kennedy for 15 years, from his first congressional campaign in 1946 until he became President in 1961.
He later became a US Marshall, and kept the tie for years as a memento of his friendship with the President.
Offered in completely original condition and with superb provenance, this tie is a wonderful piece of memorabilia from a true political icon.
