An Italian replica of KITT, the iconic car from the Knight Rider TV series, was the star of an online auction at Catawiki.
It realised 26,042 ($37,270) in the sale, which closed on February 15.

The car, a 1984 Pontiac Firebird, is a faithful reproduction and displays spectacular attention to detail.
It even comes with a voice recognition system, allowing the driver to speak to the car. It can also carry out simple commands, such as turning the lights on and off and raising and lowering the windows.
However, the buyer has to be an Italian speaker, or prepared to learn, as the car is monolingual.
Sander Houdel, auctioneer at Catawiki, told the Daily Mail prior to the sale: "Undeniably one of the world's most famous cars, this replica from 1984 is a fantastic buy for those who loved the TV show Knight Rider.
"The car has been designed to faithfully recreate the original in every way, even down to the computer system with vocal identification like the original much-loved KITT."
In 2006 one of the original models used on the show sold for $100,000.
Knight Rider was one of the most popular TV shows of the 1980s, starring David Hasselhoff as high-tech vigilante Michael Knight.
