Marlon Brando's Golden Globes hold top spot at Heritage Auctions

Items from the personal property of Marlon Brando, including two of his Golden Globe awards, have been consigned to Heritage Auctions' Entertainment and Music Memorabilia sale, which will take place on March 30 in Dallas.

Brando was happy to accept his Golden Globes, but had a change of heart when it came to the Oscars



The awards, given for his performance in On the Waterfront (1954) and as a "World Film Favourite" (1955), will be accompanied by Brando's rejection letter for the Academy Award that he was due to be presented with in 1973 for The Godfather.

Also featuring are Brando's costumes from The Ugly American and The Night of the Following Day, as well as an overcoat that was chosen for Last Tango in Paris, but never worn on screen.
