A pair of blood-covered overalls worn by Michael Myers in Halloween is the lead lot in Premiere Props' Fangoria's Annual Horror Movie Prop Auction, which is being held on October 26 in California.
|
The overalls originate from Rob Zombie's 2007 remake of the 1978 classic slasher. Worn by Tyler Mane as the notorious Michael Myers, they are valued at $5,000-7,000.
Myers' overalls become more dirty, bloody and torn as the film progresses, with the example at auction being "Condition #7". They come with an original certificate of authenticity, as well as a detailed handwritten description on a wardrobe tag from the costume department.
A further pair of Michael Myers overalls - this time from 1998's Halloween H2O - share the $5,000-7,000 estimate.
On October 31, Jamie Lee Curtis will offer a Michael Myers mask from the original film, which has been signed by all the cast, to raise $10,000 for charity.

Also starring is a collection of gruesome props from Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday (1993), the ninth instalment in the Friday the 13th film series.
The props are a foam latex torso, legs and arms from the scene in which Jason is blown apart by a grenade. Obtained from the special effects house that made them, they are valued at $3,000-5,000.
