The plane that starred in the 1985 Oscar winning film Out of Africa is to be auctioned by Bonhams at the Grand Palais in Paris on February 6 next year. The biplane carries a pre-sale estimation of �120,000 ($200,000).
The 1929 American Moth Corp Gipsy Moth, which featured in the colonial Kenya-set film, remains in excellent condition and is offered along with a permit to fly.

The aircraft, which is bright yellow and black in colour, is capable of a maximum speed of 105 mph and was famously flown over the Kenyan plains by Robert Redford's character in the movie.
The Sydney Pollack directed love story, which also starred Meryl Streep, took home seven Oscars in 1985, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Cinematography.
A spokesperson for Bonhams said: "We are delighted to be returning to the Grand Palais in Paris in 2013, where the motorcar, motorcycle and automobilia departments will combine with the 20th century decorative arts department to conduct a series of sales."
