The "most comprehensive collection of Bond movie posters to ever reach the market" has been sold in Hollywood, with the world premiere "quad" for 1963's From Russia with Love selling as the lead item on December 16.

A quad is a UK poster measuring 30 inches by 40 inches in landscape format. The example at auction, which has been described as the holy grail for Bond poster collectors, sold for $14,000, moving towards the top end of its $10,000-15,000 estimate.
The piece is possibly the rarest of all theatrical release James Bond posters, with very few originally printed and just a handful believed extant today. Its iconic artwork was completed by Renato Fratini, and is some of the best-loved of any film in the series.

Selling for $6,000 each were two first-release UK quad posters, one from Dr No and another for From Russia with Love. The Dr No poster was sold in very good condition with slight title fading and moderate retouching. The From Russia with Love poster, which offers images slightly larger than those on the world premiere poster, is one of the best known examples and was sold in very fine condition.
Also selling for $6,000 was the Goldfinger UK quad style A poster, which was linen backed with minimal retouching.
Paul Fraser Collectibles is currently offering a Sean Connery autograph as well as an autographed photo of Daniel Craig in Quantum of Solace for sale - perfect items to commemorate Bond's 50th anniversary.
