The costumes worn by Jennifer Lawrence in the hit film Silver Linings Playbook have exceeded all expectations in an online sale that closed February 28.

The three costumes brought a combined $11,320, with the most valuable lot being her Moda International coat at $4,652. The sale follows the star securing the best actress award at this year's Oscars.
Auctioneer Nate D Sanders told the Guardian newspaper: "The whole world seems to be captivated by Jennifer Lawrence.
"We estimated that each of her wardrobe pieces would bring between $500 and $1,500, but what happened is that dozens of bidders from all over the world furiously bid against one another."
More Oscar-winning memorabilia was seen in January, as man of the moment Daniel Day-Lewis held a charity auction of items from Lincoln to raise money for an Irish hospice. Sign up to Paul Fraser Collectibles' free weekly newsletter for more of the latest on collecting movie memorabilia.
