An engineering console from the USS Enterprise will be one of the top lots in an auction of Star Trek memorabilia at Propworx.
The September 10 sale will celebrate 50 years of the pioneering franchise.
The console appears in three separate Star Trek movies |
It appears in three movies: Star Trek VIII: First Contact (1996), Star Trek IX: Insurrection (1998) and Star Trek X: Nemesis (2002).
The transparent area at the centre would have been decked out with a monitor running graphics. The lot offers an opportunity for a practical fan to create their own setup.
The auction house comments: "It is rare to see any large consoles from a U.S.S. Enterprise Bridge set appear at auction in recent years, and this unit, in fine overall condition with light wear from its use in production, is highly presentable and an outstanding piece of Star Trek history.
"It would make a spectacular addition to any Star Trek memorabilia collection, especially so at the onset of the 30th Anniversary year of Star Trek: TNG."
Bidding starts at $10,000.
A Klingon assassin rifle from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) is expected to make in excess of $6,000.
The lot plays an important role in the movie.
It's designed to disassemble and is accompanied by its original case.
