An impressive collection of 61 black and white negatives of photos taken at the Beatles' historic 1965 Shea Stadium performance auctioned at Omega Auctions on March 22.
Taken at the height of "Beatlemania", the negatives achieved a hammer price of £26,000 ($39,586) - a 30% increase on their £20,000 top estimate.

The negatives from the band's celebrated gig at the New York Mets' baseball stadium sold among a plethora of Beatles items in Stockport, UK. The black and white images were taken by amateur photographer Mark Weinstein, who talked security into allowing him backstage during the concert.
The Dr Robert Beck collection of colour slides from the Beatles' 1964 US tour also sold with strong results, bringing £23,000 ($35,030) minus buyer's premium.
