The boots are being offered through eBay, along with a host of memorabilia from other musicians. Bids close on September 1.
With six-inch heels decorated with a gold piano design, the striking black leather knee-high boots have been signed "With love, Elton John x".
They will be sold complete with a signed photograph of the singer as well as two free tickets to see him perform at Bestival festival on the Isle of Wight on September 8.
Besides the music, Elton John is known in the collecting world for his classic cars, with a 1965 Jaguar E-type and a Ferrari Testarossa both appearing at auction recently.
Also featuring in the auction is a signed LP of Coldplay's enormously successful A Rush of Blood to the Head album, which is accompanied by a commemorative plaque and album artwork.
Further highlights include a drum skin signed by members of Genesis, a signed copy of The Cocteau Twins' last ever 12-inch single, Violaine, and signed T-shirts.
"We're very grateful for the generous support of the musicians who donated the items and we're hopeful that music fans will be excited by the auction," commented Amnesty International's UK campaigns director, Tim Hancock.
"If you're a fan of the glam rock era it doesn't get much more iconic than a pair of Elton John's six-inch platform boots."
