George Harrison’s black 1980 Porsche 928S has sold for £45,000 ($55,867) at Omega Auctions.
The Beatle owned the car between 1980 and 1984.
Consignor Raj Sedha decided to restore the Porsche once he learned who its owner was
It was registered to Friar Park, the vast mansion in Henley-on-Thames that he moved into in 1970.
Consignor Raj Sedha picked up the car in Leeds in 2003 and originally intended to scrap it for spare parts.
He was made aware of its connection to Harrison and decided to hang on to it (and is presumably delighted that he did).
We have this page signed by all four of the Beatles for sale.
