A pair of sketches by Paul McCartney is among the top lots of a Beatles auction in Liverpool on August 29.

The drawings show Beatle-esque figures and bear handwritten messages on the reverse. The lot is valued at around £10,000 ($15,417).
Auctioneer Stephen Bailey told the Daily Mirror: "People usually think of John as the artistic Beatle but these drawings show Paul's talent for capturing an image in a quick sketch.
"Every year we're just amazed by what goes in for auction and each year there's something new that we're surprised to see - it's just fantastic."
The sale will also feature a signed copy of the Beatles' Love Me Do.
We have this set of drawings by former Beatle Stuart Sutcliffe for sale.
