It appears briefly in a key scene within the film and features a label bearing Starr's name.
The lot was accompanied by a letter of provenance from the consignor that reads: "Since the late 1950's I have been a friend of the Starkey-Graves family.
"Ringo or Ritchie as he was known to us and his girlfriend was one of a group of friends socializing together…
"During the sixties while visiting Ringo's parents Elsie and Harry I was given a suit which I was informed had been worn by Ringo in the film Help."
The sale follows on from the auction of two of the iconic capes from the film for a combined £115,000 ($178,526) in 2014.
Bobby Livingston, of RR Auction, comments: "It's a highly desirable piece of rock-cinema history.
"Demand for rock-and-roll relics — especially among Baby Boomers with disposable income - continue to be one of the fastest growing categories of collecting."
