A 1963 British Red Cross centenary 3d stamp error has sold for £7,800 ($11,702) at Spink.

The lot led an auction of Great British stamps and postal history in London on November 27.
It's unmounted, in mint condition and is described by the auction house as a "rare and spectacular variety".
It displays a blank space where the Red Cross logo should appear.
