Specifically, there are 2,086 lots of United States singles and collections, 1,522 Great British and Commonwealth singles and collections and 1,887 lots from other parts of the world.
Amongst the lots from the first section on offer are a number of interesting pieces from the second decade of the 20th century, particularly 10c stamps.
One attractive piece is a valuable block of 12 deep claret 10c stamps from the 1910-12 issue.
Although the top of the block has little in the way of a margin, it is fresh, fine to very fine in quality and has its original gum. It is expected to bring $4,340 but has yet to achieve this.
There are vertical pairs and a four block of the similar 1914 carmine lake 10c stamp also on offer.
In the last session of the auction, a few Chinese stamps are also on offer. One of these, from the People’s Republic has already surpassed its estimate: a piece depicting a child with wonder in her eyes encourages the study of science.

The never-hinged, extremely fine piece with original gum has already nearly doubled its $875 guide price with one bidder offering $1,600.
The auction concludes over three days, online only: March 30-April 1.
