A US 1934 $1 hunting permit block of six is expected to be among the top lots of a sale of revenue stamps at Robert A Siegel.

1934 was the first year of issue for the hunting revenue stamp

It's expected to make around $16,000 when it crosses the block in New York on October 1.

The lot is a first year example of the highly collectible hunting permit series. The stamps are issued to hunters who wish to shoot wildfowl, with the revenue going to the maintenance of wildlife preserves.

We have an interesting selection of rare stamps for sale.
