An 1862-1871 US $500 large "Persian rug" second issue revenue stamp is expected to make around $17,500 at Robert A Siegel.

The lot will star in part three of the Grant Inman collection sale, which is made up of first, second and third issue US revenue stamps.
It's one of four known examples of this rare stamp to feature its sheet margins and imprints. Only 210 were issued in total.
