Hollywood actor and famed collector Leonardo DiCaprio is offering space enthusiasts the chance to fly to space with him.  

Leo has been making waves in the auction world of late, following a high profile purchase in 2012

The winning bidder at the amfAR Gala at the Cannes Film Festival tonight (May 23) will receive a trip on Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic, which hopes to launch its first manned flight by the end of 2013.

Accompanied by the Great Gatsby star, the winning bidder will join a waiting list that includes Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Stephen Hawking.

DiCaprio held his 11th Hour charity auction in conjunction with Christie's in May, which saw 11 artist records broken.

He also bought one of the pianos used in Casablanca for $602,500 at Sotheby's in December 2012.
