For the past year Heritage Auctions have been diligently gathering the finest specimens available in the world of Natural History. This collection of fossils, minerals, meteorites, and most significantly, dinosaurs, are now present in this catalogue for what the company claims will be the most important Natural History auction of the decade.
We've also mentioned one of the star lots on our newsletter, the 'largest shark jaw ever assembled', which was once part of a 16-metre long Megalodon - a terrifying creature which dominated the seas until its demise 1.5 million years ago.

For space collectors however there is an equally spectacular lot. Heritage have been good to meteorite investors over the years but perhaps never as good as this:
One of the star attractions at the American Museum of Natural History in New York is the historic Willamette meteorite. This iconic 15 ton meteorite has been on display at the museum for more than a century and has been seen by an estimated 50 million people.
Presented in the auction is the 29.5 pound crown of the Willamette meteorite — the only cut of Willamette that was ever made, and the only specimen of Willamette available for auction to the public. The Willamette crown is just one of several historically significant meteorites being offered.
Space watchers should watch this space for more news of Heritage's spectacular auction which will take place on June 12 in Texas.
