Auction house Dominic Winter is holding a themed sale to mark the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, scheduled for May 13.
The auction will feature a wealth of aviation memorabilia and ephemera, militaria and rare documentation relating to the battle.
Among the fascinating lots is a Roberts Aero Engine from circa 1910, a very rare example of pioneering engineering from the early-20th century.
Elsewhere in the sale is a singular item of memorabilia and a fascinating document of the piloting experiences of Group Captain Sir Douglas Bader (1910-1982).
This original pilot's flying log book, for the period June 2 to August 28, 1945, will go under the hammer with a pre-sale estimate of £2,000-2,500.
Bader's log book contains over 70 entries in blue ink on eight pages, with the remainder unused, bound in its original blue cloth with some surface soiling.

The lot includes bound photography of Bader's flying log book for the periods November 1939 to August 8, 1941 - during which time Bader was shot down and captured - and June 1945-1959.
Overall, this remarkable and historic book is an invaluable document of Bader's life and career, from his first three months at the Fighter Leader School in Tangmere, to his release from Colditz in 1945.
Bader's entries immediately following the end of World War Two include flights undertaken in the Spitfire Mk IX (pictured top right), including Fighter Leader School exercises, aerobatics and test flights.
The book has long been regarded as a significant artefact, and was presented to the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon.
