A 1957 Willie Mays New York Giants game-worn jersey has sold for $222,036 at Grey Flannel Auctions.

The lot led the May 25 Summer Games Catalog Auction.
1957 was Mays' final season in New York, as the Giants moved to San Francisco in 1958.
That year he won his first Gold Glove and became the fourth player to enter the 20-20-20 club (hitting 20 doubles, triples and home runs in one season).
Even today his record remains one of the most impressive in baseball history.
The consignor acquired the jersey while working as a buyer for a department store in Tacoma, Washington.
They explained: "Our store was approached by the team to have some of our personnel wear Giants uniforms in the store to generate press.
"They sent us a box of old uniforms, which were handed down from the pro level club from a few years prior.
"I was lucky enough to grab Mays' jersey and [Joe] Margoneri's matching pants.
"When we were told that we could keep the uniforms, I immediately knew I had something special and put it away in a drawer for 60+ years."
