Banks remains one of the most popular players in Cubs history, earning the nickname Mr Cub. He was the first African-American player on the team, debuting in 1953, and proved himself a powerful shortstop.
SCP Auctions comments: "The impeccably preserved 1968 jersey's technical details are breathtaking. In a season in which Banks ripped 32 more home runs and knocked in 83 runs, it's an especially coveted gamer that's been photo-matched several times over…
"With regard to quality, condition, rarity and provenance, we unequivocally rank this among the finest game worn flannels our firm has ever handled."
President Dwight D Eisenhower's custom golf bag is at $26,575.
The clubs are each engraved "General Ike" and were specifically designed by club-maker Bobby Jones to compensate for Eisenhower's arthritis.
Eisenhower used the set on May 26, 1964 during a charity golf tournament at the Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.
