A medal presented following Manchester United's record 11th FA Cup Final win has sold well in Nate D Sanders' March 27 online auction.

Awarded to an assistant referee at the 2004 match, in which the team won 3-0 against Millwall, the medal sold for $18,000, rising well past the $10,000 starting bid.
With Nate D Sanders based in the US, the sale demonstrates the international appeal of Manchester United, which is home to some of the world's top players, and the appeal of the "beautiful game" in general.

Also selling was a Wayne Rooney match-worn Manchester United shirt, which comes from the November 10, 2013 game against Arsenal at United's home stadium, Old Trafford.
Featuring a red poppy as part of the Poppy Appeal campaign, the shirt was originally sold at a charity auction. In the Nate D Sanders sale, it made $5,000.
The FBI estimates that 80-90% of all sports memorabilia sold through eBay is fake. Paul Fraser Collectibles has a great range of authentic sports memorabilia for sale, including a Paul Scholes match-worn and signed England shirt, accompanied by a Lifetime Moneyback Guarantee of Authenticty.
