A completed Panini Mexico 70 album featuring two signatures from Pele has sold for £10,450 ($13,000).
The album was Panini's first FIFA World Cup album
This was the first album Panini produced for the FIFA World Cup. The players were represented by small cards, which had to be glued into place.
Pele has signed it on the front and over his own card.
As auctioneer Wouter Waajers of Catawiki explained in the run-up to the sale: “The combination of the rarity of the Mexico 70 album, the beautiful condition of the album and the two original Pele signatures make this a unique and extremely valuable item, which will, without a doubt, only increase in value over time...”
