Abraham Lincoln was the most popular presidential waxwork sold in the auction of the Gettysburg Hall of Presidents and First Ladies Museum’s assets.

The museum closed last year, and has since made its selection of waxworks (of variable quality) available to collectors.
Lincoln realised a top price of $8,500.
Auction house expert Randy Dickensheets told local newspaper the York Dispatch: "It was expected. Lincoln is popular among Democrats and Republicans."
Meanwhile, outgoing president Barack Obama pulled in a respectable $2,200.
