If you're looking for the ultimate getaway, Al Capone's "hideout retreat" in Wisconsin can be yours for a minimum of $2.5m.

The main lodge of the foreclosed Wisconsin lodge, "located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin," near Couderay, is made of native fieldstone, and boasts a massive split fireplace.

Capone apparently found the setting, "both relaxing and convenient," according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's brochure on gangster tourist sites.

The property includes 407 acres with a 37-acre private lake, according to an advertisement placed announcing the sale by Chippewa Valley Bank.

The sale also includes an eight-car garage, renovated into a bar and restaurant, a bunkhouse, year-round caretaker's residence, guard tower and other outbuildings.

The lodge also features unique spiral staircases that were custom made in Chicago.

The house was a key base in Capone's criminal operations - airplanes from Canada allegedly landed on the property with illegal booze that Capone sent to Prohibition-era Chicago.

The sale is scheduled for October 8 at the Sawyer County Courthouse, 10610 Main in Hayward, Wisconsin.
