We're often reporting on why "diamonds are forever" in the eyes of collectors here at Paul Fraser Collectibles. But now the Welsh star who immortalised those words in song is making a welcome return to the auction block...

Dame Shirley Bassey is hoping to attract some big spenders in benefit of the Children's Hospital for Wales' Noah's Ark Appeal, next month. The singer is selling her leopard print dress to raise funds towards the £7m ($11,362,500) needed for the hospital's next phase of development.
After more than 50 years in show business, Ms Bassey still has plenty of clout on the memorabilia markets - thanks in no small part to her classic James Bond theme tunes including Thunderball and Diamonds Are Forever.
This isn't the first time that Ms Bassey's legacy has proven that it will survive at auction. In 2003, the star held a charity auction of her stage costumes at Christie's which raised £250,000 (US$500,000), a proportion of which was also donated to the Noah's Ark Appeal.
It's more than likely that bidders will again reach for the stars when the dress appears for sale at the Copthorne Hotel in Cardiff, Wales on Friday April 8.
