The very first lot in the sale is a 1,275g .925 silver NFL limited edition football. It's 29cm long by 19cm high and has a top end estimate of $10,000.
There are 68 lots in the first session, which begins at 13:00ET. A second session is slated for a few hours later in the day.
Many of the items are estimated to be valued at $10,000 or more, but in true auction spirit, minimum bids often start at $100, which means canny investors could pick up a bargain or two.
