This sale, taking place in a week and a half's time will also feature a great range of Patek Philippe watches as well as some pieces of superb mechanised decorative art attributed to great artisans of yesteryear.
However, there is also an antiques carriage clock which has been attributed to a legendary master of horology: none other than Breguet himself.
Breguet has been in our thoughts of late, remembering what an inspiration he was to the great watchmaker and collector George Daniels.
Looking at the latter piece first, it is a Breguet carriage clock, No. 5017.First created around 1831-1832 it comes with its original Breguet key, gold-tooled red morocco leather fitted traveling box, and a certificate.

The large, gilt bronze carriage clock was first sold to Monsieur Le Comte Vladamir Komar on June 11, 1853 for 4000 francs and is extremely rare with grande and petitite sonnerie striking, quarter-repeating, pull-wind alarm and calendar.
The piece is expected to sell for around CHF10,000-150,000. Watch this space for more news of this great auction.
