Next month, Antiquorum is holding their Important Collectors' Wristwatches, Pocket Watches & Clocks auction for spring 2010.
Amongst the 400 fine and rare pieces is a 2006 Greubel Forsey 'Double Tourbillon 30° Vision' in white gold. The valuable piece has a visible 30° inclined inner one minute tourbillon regulator and a visible outer four-minute tourbillon regulator.

Tourbillions were a creation of Abraham-Louis Breguet at the end of the eighteenth century to improve the accuracy of watches which was thought to be compromised by the effect of gravity. The problem was more pronounced in pocket watches which remained in the same position all day.
The piece is estimated at $200,000-300,000 and will be sold in New York City during the March 10-11 auction, following a preview tour of Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Palm Beach.
Collectible watch enthusiasts will be interested to know that Patrizzi & Co are presenting an important range of Cartier timepieces in New York on March 9.
