It will be raining diamonds in Boston, US, on December 7 as auction house Skinner offers its "largest selection of diamonds ever to be included in a single sale."
Highlights in the auction will include a collection of unique Miriam Haskell jewellery, auctioning alongside fine designer watches, earrings and necklaces.
Haskell (1899-1981) was an American design of costume jewellery whose wearers include icons like Joan Crawford, Lucille Ball and the Duchess of Windsor.

In fact, Crawford owned a set of almost every Haskell piece ever produced, from the 1920s through the 1960s. Collectors will now have the chance to follow in the actress's footsteps.
Cartier, Tiffany, Buccellati and Harry Winston will be among the featured big names. All eyes will likely be on the Winston lots, following the $45.75m World Record price achieved by his fancy intense pink diamond earlier this month.
