Iron Man 2 is all set to be the must-see movie of the summer. Starring Robert Downey Jr, fresh from his success in the swashbuckling Sherlock Holmes, as inventor, billionaire and Superhero Tony Stark, the film is due to be released this week.

In the movie, which also stars Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle and Gwyneth Paltrow, the hero wears some impressive feats of engineering. Not just his Iron Man suit, which the government is demanding the secrets of, but some extremely fine and rare timepieces.

Stark's watches include the AMVOX3 Tourbillon GMT from Jaeger-LeCoultre. Limited to  300 issues, it sports the first round ceramic case manufactured by Jaeger-LeCoultre, and combines high resistance with stability.

It combines the precision of the tourbillon with two complementary functions: a dual time-zone display and a date indicated by a hand that makes a big leap between the 31st of the month and the 1st of the following month, so as to never obstruct Tony Stark's view of the spinning tourbillon.
