A ring bought for celebrity Kim Kardashian by ex-fiance Kris Humphries could make up to $500,000 when it auctions on October 15 at Christie's Bright and Beautiful sale in New York.
The ring was designed by Lorraine Schwartz - a friend of the Kardashians. The ring features a 16.21 carat diamond flanked by two 1.80 carat diamonds on either side.

Previous pieces by Schwartz have sold impressively at auction. Three jade and diamond bangles by the designer realised $69,000 at Christie's in 2011 - up 711% on their $8,000 high estimate.
The ring was said to have cost Humphries $2m at the time of the engagement. The pair were engaged in May 2011, and broke up a few months later. A portion of the sale will be donated to charity.
