Significant Cartier Timepieces and over 150 collectible wristwatches, pocket watches and clocks will be auctioned by Patrizzi & Co on March 9.
Big highlights will include a 1929 gold-and-nephrite Cartier table clock with grande sonnerie chimes.
This vintage timepiece is especially remarkable for boasting the most complicated mechanism ever produced by the company.
"This will be the most important sale of Cartier timepieces since 1996," said Osvaldo Patrizzi, the auction house's president and chief executive officer.

"The table clock is exquisite. It's extremely rare to find a large Comet clock with the grand sonnerie, moon phases and calendar."
It also boasts a unique provenance, having been previously owned by the son of former New York City Mayor, Hugh L Grant. The table clock's value can be estimated upon request.
Patrizzi is also excited about the influence of collectors and investors from Asia.
"With its distinguished history and aesthetic prowess, Cartier is commanding top prices and is particularly desirable with clients in China," he said.
Two rare luxury Patek Philippe Ref. 2526 wristwatches will also feature in the auction. It takes place in New York City, with simultaneous bidding online.
