Over his 13-year career, rapper Lil' Wayne has notched up around 6m sales and won a Grammy award.
But the $1m diamond encrusted Chopard watch, given to him as a 27th birthday present, must have been the icing on the cake.
The wristwatch was a birthday gift from Brian "Birdman" Williams, friend and chief executive of Cash Money Records, Lil' Wayne's record label.
It was specially ordered from Chopard, according to photographer Derick G. "Lil' Wayne Loved it," he said, reports Luxist.

Chopard watches are known for their innovation and design across a variety of collections, including quartz and mechanical timepieces, gem-set, technically complicated models and sporty designs.
Lil' Wayne, real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., grew up in the Hollygrove neighborhood, New Orleans.
Carter was discovered by Williams as a teenager. His albums include Tha Carter II (2005), which went on to sell over 2.5m units.
Cash Money Records is a hip hop record label founded in 1991 and affiliated with Universal Records.
