A number of rare and beautiful luxury timepieces will appear in Artcurial's sale of collectors' clocks, jewels and watches in Monte Carlo on July 20.
Among them is this scarce and stunning gold men's chronograph bracelet watch, Ref 49663, manufactured by Audemars Piguet for Cartier in 1956.
Extremely rare, the heavy yellow gold chronograph's features include an antique lacquered black dial powered by a classic mechanical movement, signed by Audemars Piguet.
The historic timepiece's case measures 36mm in diameter and weighs 50g with a round and heavy bottom, all held in a black crocodile skin strap with gold buckle.

Audemars Piguet produced this model along with two similar examples which are also mentioned in the watch's records, numbered 49677 and 49678.
Ref. 49663 will auction in Monte Carlo with a pre-sale estimate of €70,000-120,000; appearing alongside other rare luxury timepieces by Jaeger LeCoultre and Rolex.
