McTear's will be holding its largest whisky auction of the year on May 5, with almost 700 lots of rare and collectible whisky to choose from.
Highlights in the sale will include a number of Highland Park bottles, such as the Highland Park Millennium bottle.
£3,000-4,000 |
Only 2000 bottles of this 12-year-old Cask Strength expression were ever released.
Numerous Macallans will also be entered, including the complete six bottles of the Exceptional Single Cask Range (estimated at £1,500-2,500) and the 1946 Distilled 52-year-old (£2,400-2,800).
The 40-year-old (£3000-4000) and another bottle of the 50-year-old will also appear, the latter estimated at £10,000-14,000.
Elsewhere, there will also be a large assortment of Islay Single Malt Whiskies.
These include the Ardbeg Guaranteed 30-year-old (£300-340), a Caol Ila 12-year-old (£160-200) or, if you're looking for a real treat, the Laphroaig 1981 27-year-old selected from five Oloroso Sherry Casks, which could prove a snip at £400-440.
McTear's auction and pre-sale viewings will be held in Glasgow. The viewings are scheduled for Tuesday, May 4 at 9am and Wednesday, May 5 at 10.20am.
