The 12 bottles of the debut vintage California Cabernet Sauvignon will arrive at the October 13 and 14 auction with a $70,000 valuation.
Nine rare bottles of 1971 Echezeaux will also feature, with a $60,000 high valuation. John Kapon, the CEO of Acker Merrall & Condit, explains that the lot comes from a "legendary barrel of wines bottled and labeled by Henri Jayer himself especially for [wine writer] Alexis Lichine - a true gem in terms of provenance, rarity and quality."
DRC fans will also be well served - there are more than 90 lots from the Burgundy on offer.
