In his recent exclusive interview with Paul Fraser Collectibles, Martin Green, Bonhams Head of Whisky, told us that, in his 20 years of experience in whisky auctions, the sale of the Dalmore Oculus was the most memorable.
There's no doubt about it, the Dalmore remains the one of the most sought-after and remarkable Highland Single Malts on the market.

Editions of the Dalmore currently available to collectors include the Dalmore Candela 50-year-old, created by master blender Richard Paterson, from very old vintage stocks dating from 1868-1951.
That its ingredients date back to the mid-19th century is remarkable in itself, coupled with the fact that only 77 bottles have been released.
According to Paterson's own tasting notes, the Candela is, "provocative and alluring, with the initial aroma of sultanas, ground coffee, chocolate praline and spicy orange.
"Next comes apple, honeyed marzipan, sweet molasses and morello cherries before whispers of caraway and Madeira cake complete the experience."
The truly unique Candela can be added to your collection for £7,350.
It's not a surprise that the Dalmore was the star of Bonhams' recent sale of the renowned Willard S Folsom collection, in which Dalmore Oculus 50-year-old commanded a final price of $7,140.
