A fine quality unused set. The $20 dull green stamp is uncommon and valued in the Stanley Gibbons catalogue at £550.
The stamp issue features the Gate of Heavenly Peace in Peking, widely used as a national symbol. It was first built during the Ming dynasty in 1420. The tower has been destroyed and rebuilt several times.
