A fine quality mint block of four with original gum, (the lower pair apparently unmounted but with minor trace of gum disturbance).
A rare and attractive multiple, hardly ever found in a block of four.
The island of Labuan off the northern coast of Borneo was ceded to Great Britain by the Sultan of Brunei in December 1846. Stamps from North Borneo were used and overprinted Labuan.
