The card measures 9.5 x 7.25 inches when open, and is fine condition.
Personally signed by Charles and inscribed to “Mr. & Mrs. Hitchings" in blue fountain pen.
The original recipient was John Hitchings LVO (1929-2020), who served the Royal family for 60 years as a Land Steward for the Duchy of Cornwall.
The card is accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
It features an affixed color photograph of Charles wearing a Native American headdress, face paint, and ceremonial shirt, inscribed beneath "Canada 1977".
The unusual portrait was taken in Alberta, Canada in Juy 1977 during an official Royal visit. Charles was honoured by the indigenous Native American tribes and made a Chief of the Kainai Nation Blood tribe, with the name 'Red Crow'.
