An envelope signed by The Beatles, circa late 1962 - early 1963.
A rare set of of early autographs that pre-dates Beatlemania.
The Beatles are the biggest-selling and most influential band in pop music history.
Their classic albums were integral to the development of 1960s counterculture, and had a lasting effect on everything from fashion and film to the recognition of pop music as an art form.
Fifty years after they split up in 1970, the band's songs continue to inspire millions of fans around the world and every generaton of musicians that has followed them.
An early set of signatures in blue and black ball-point pen inks on the reverse of a light blue envelope (approx. 4.5x3 in).
Signed by John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr (McCartney dedicates his signature to Maureen, adding "The Beatles" below).
All four have added kisses beneath their names.
With overall surface creasing, age wear, edge toning and a vertical tear to the centre fold crease only slightly affecting Harrison's signature.
The style of signatures featured on this envelope date it to an eight-month period between August 1962 (when Ringo joined the band) and March 1963 (when Lennon and Harrison's autographs changed significantly).
As such, this is a rare and highly sought-after set of Beatles signatures signed during a pivotal period in the career.
