A superb used 1d pink postal stationery envelope addressed to Bombay, pre-paid at the single rate of 1s per 1/2oz as indicated in red manuscript "1/-. Beautifully cancelled by a perfectly struck blue Godalmin double-arc datestamp for 'AP 18.1851' with a London transit circular date stamp alongside for the following day.
Overseas usage of the 1d pink envelope is rare, envelopes of this quality are exceptionally rare and desirable.
