- A Princess Diana handwritten signed letter on Kensington Palace royal stationary
Princess Diana (July 1, 1961 - August 31, 1997) was the former wife of Prince Charles, heir to the British throne, and the mother of Princes William and Harry.
Diana was known as "the people's Princess", and was renowned as both a fashion icon and a tireless humanitarian.
Her tragic death in August 1997 was met with worldwide mourning, and she remains a much-loved figure to this day.
A handwritten, signed letter from Princess Diana, dated December 13, 1990 and written on two pages of Kensington Palace stationary.
Letter reads in full:
“Dear Roger,
It was very kind of you to have sent me a photograph of Trehill House! I was so pleased to be able to see what your home looks like, having heard from friends how lovely it is.
I enclose the photograph having seen the tape on the reverse side, which can only mean that it came out of an album! Many thanks Roger, for the Christmas card too,
Yours sincerely, Diana.”
