New Zealand 1874-78 'First sideface' 2s deep rose, neatly cancelled by large part 'DUNED(IN)' circular date stamp.
A fine used example. Typical centring, but an interesting example, clearly showing a double strike of the perforating comb at top and sides.
A scarce Victorian New Zealand stamp. These stamps were first issued in 1874 with the change in design to the more conventional side view of the Queen. Prior to this the "Chalon Head" stamps showed an image of Queen Victoria, based on the portrait of the Queen on her coronation in 1837 by Alfred Chalon.
