Very fine used example sent from Guernsey to Kensington, beautifully cancelled by a superb red Maltese Cross with a lightly struck Kingston/Penny Post handstamp alongside. Back stamped with a Guernsey circular date stamp for JU.5.1840.
Very rare Channel Island usage - believed to be unique as the only recorded 2d Mulready used sent from Guernsey. An important piece of early British postal history.
