A very fine used example sent from London to Calne, Wilts neatly cancelled by a red Maltese Cross, backstamped by a crisp black London dispatch circular date stamp for 'MY 7.1840'.
A couple of light wrinkles, but much finer than most examples and an attractive early "May date" item from the second official day of usage.
