A superb unused horizontal pair, with original gum, lettered 'IA-IB', and benefiting from wonderful deep rich colour.
A beautiful pair, very rarely seen so fine.

Official perforation of the 2d blue started in January 1854 along with the 1d red at around the same time. Both were perforated using the same machines.
